President Barack Obama

Barack Obama became the 44th president of the United States in 2009, the first African American to be elected to that office.  The first country to commemorate him on a stamp was Liberia.  Since then, several countries have philatelically honored President Obama with stamps that feature his achievements, his travels, and his meetings with other world leaders.  Sometimes the stamps include his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama, and his family.  On this page we showcase some of the more recent stamps.  We will continue to add to the Obama stamps retroactively until we get back to 2009 and that first stamp from Liberia.
